The Satisfyer High Fly, $34.95

Tiffany, 33 – bisexual woman, currently single and living alone – just her, her plants & trusty Satisfyer Pro 2! Experienced toy user who’s keen to give (almost) anything a go!

“Potentially a better experience for those who don’t need jet-engine like vibration or intensity thanks to the overuse of their SP2!”

The Satisfyer High Fly is a rechargeable finger vibrator (that looks like a jetplane lolly!) that I initially thought was going to take me to new heights, but in practice was a bit of a failure to launch.

It’s ergonomically-shaped with flexible wings that sit comfortably between your fingers, which works well if you want to lay it flat on something, but not quite so much if you’re moving it around a bit (or if there’s a bit of lube involved haha).

Just flying solo wasn’t much to write home about, other than a nice vibration (although I get distracted feeling the vibration in my hand at the same time), and it definitely needed something else going on simultaneously to get me over the line. It was a much better time having someone use this on me, but again, it needed some support to get ‘lift off’, shall we say. Overall this plane just didn’t have enough power in its engine for me. I used this on a man who hadn’t had much experience with vibrating toys as part of foreplay, and he was pleasantly surprised, so potentially a better experience for those who don’t need jet-engine like vibration/intensity thanks to the overuse of their SP2!

Rachel, 34, a new mum navigating life as a parent with her husband – not the most experienced toy user but is keen to battle past her apprehension to try new things and embrace her sexuality

The past few months have been such a fun way to experiment with what floats my boat and discover new sensations and experiences. One realisation I’ve had – I’m a real penetration girl!

The past few months have been such a fun way to experiment with what floats my boat and discover new sensations and experiences. One realisation I’ve had – I’m a real penetration girl! This has been a fun revelation to have. With that in mind, Satisyer’s High Fly vibrator just hasn’t been for me. Compared to other toys, it’s simple, which if you’re after one thing in particular – standard vibration – could be right up your alley. But it just didn’t see me flying high.

It’s a cool design, I’ll give it that – it’s been thought through in terms of how you use it, and fits easily in your hand. Although it’s a bit tricky to change modes in the moment, as you really need to move it off your ‘landing strip’ (see what I did there) to change its setting. Ultimately, I found this bullet style just didn’t do much for me at all. I’d recommend it if you’re maybe looking to help a friend explore more, or want something in the moment during partner play.

But this little plane is a fun accessory in the bedroom… I wouldn’t consider it the main cast it’s a solid supporting actor in my toy collection.”

Don’t be fooled, this is not your grandmother’s jet plane lolly! I was sceptical about the High Fly when I first opened it, and instantly compared it to the candy planes of my childhood. But this little plane is a fun accessory in the bedroom. It took my partner a little bit to get used to how to hold this, and what angles were both comfortable for him while being enjoyable for me.

The one thing I really enjoyed was we could use it in foreplay and then have it sit against my clit hands-free when he penetrated. It naturally migrated and fell as things got more intense but it’s great for really getting things going. I also found it great to use solo by adding in some clitoral stimulation while using the dildo. It is a nice sensual aid that can enhance sexy times and can be used anywhere on the body you find erogenous. While I wouldn’t consider it the main cast it’s a solid supporting actor in my toy collection. My only issue is I personally wish it had a stronger vibration setting as the highest is a little low for me. But if you are more on the sensitive side it would be ideal.

Catherine, 30, a toy virgin and newly-single woman who’s looking to seize every opportunity coming her way (whether it’s boy or toy!) but is keen to take matters into her own hands (literally)

My feelings about it are probably similar to jet plane lollies — not my first choice, but a pleasant surprise every time.”

In my head, I think of the Satisfier High Fly as the jet plane vibrator. My feelings about it are probably similar to jet plane lollies — not my first choice, but a pleasant surprise every time.

Despite the preceding statement, the High Fly was the very first item in the box of goodies that arrived on my doorstep that I dared to try. It is small, un-intimidating and, I kid you not, the box actually has picture instructions. I told all my friends about the instructions!

The High Fly sits in your hand and feels natural to use – where your fingers go, so does it. In this way it is nicer than other external vibrators. Going back to the instructions, the snug-between-your-fingers design also means it can wander elsewhere on your body. I also have an – untested – theory that this feature would make the High Fly ideal for adding something extra to “grown up cuddles”.

I found the High Fly to be a slow burn toy that takes some patience. I’m often lacking the patience. It is not going to blow your socks off, but rather give you a meandering journey to the finish. Did I say I lack patience? My preference is to pair this with another option for the most reward.

I would recommend as an accompaniment, but if you’re looking for something to enjoy alone, this is not it.

Jane, 45, Māori mum-of-four who’s currently in a long-distance relationship and who needs to get *creative* to keep that intimacy alive!

Well lo and behold, if I didn’t feel the crescendo building way sooner then anticipated. “I’ve done it!”, I thought – it was time to hit the bullseye!

Looking like a little yellow jet plane lolly, this toy could easily fit inconspicuously in your handbag for some portable fun!

It’s designed to fit easily between your finger and thumb, almost like an extension of your finger. I found the motor packed some punch for a tiny little thing and there are plenty of settings depending on what your vibrating preference is.

Now I’m not usually a buzzy vibe kinda gal – much preferring pulses – so the first few times I tried it I was a little meh. It could get the party started but I needed my SP2 to get the job done. However deep in meditation one day I had a realisation that maybe I’m a little too reliant on my SP2 and I needed to change it up a bit. Ok so it wasn’t THAT dramatic, but I decided I was way too attached to the SP2 and that maybe I was limiting myself a bit, so I pulled out the little yellow jet plane (LYJP) and decided to spend some quality time.

My issue with vibes is that I’m very sensitive – sometimes they kinda give me a burny feeling – so I kept LYJP on the lowest setting and stayed in the region around the target (if you know what I mean!). Well lo and behold, if I didn’t feel the crescendo building way sooner then anticipated. “I’ve done it!”, I thought – it was time to hit the bullseye! It was about that time that LYJP ran out of steam and gave up on me. Just like that. If you’ve been there before you’ll know the devastation. Out came SP2 to do what it does best (luv ya work baby!).

I’m not saying that the battery life is low, I just think I was remiss on charging it in a timely manner after the previous disappointing sessions. Maybe LYJP was trying to teach me a lesson. What I am saying though, is that I’ve figured out how to get a buzzy vibe to work for me, and even better I think this would work amazing with a partner due to its sleek non bulky design. It can slip in the gaps – if you know what I’m saying.

So I’m a fan, and yep LYJP is fully charged and ready to go!
