Bondage, butt stuff, and bullets, oh my! New Zealand’s favourite sex toys and sexual wellness products have been revealed, providing insight into what Kiwis are enjoying in the bedroom. Adulttoymegastore, the country’s largest online adult retailer (and partner of Capsule) has shared its top-selling toys for 2022 and the regions that have purchased the most – and Palmerston North, you HAVE been busy! Here’s the definitive list of best sex toys in NZ.
So, this year’s top 10 features some predictable favourites like the Satisfyer Pro 2 Next Generation, which has been the country’s best-seller for the fourth consecutive year (and it’s a WELL DESERVED title, trust us) as well as a full bondage mattress restraint kit, a vibrating egg and a beginner’s butt plug. Something for everyone!
The New Zealand regions where the most sex toys were purchased per capita were Palmerston North, Wellington, and Whangarei, with Auckland not even cracking the top 10 (is this because we had no official lockdowns this year?)
“Overall, the top 10 toys for 2022 includes a nice variety. We commend New Zealanders from all over the country for a big year of sexual experimentation and utilising the tools available to them to help take care of their sexual wellbeing,” Adulttoymegastore owner and operator, Nicola Relph, says.
“It came as no surprise to us to see the Satisfyer Pro 2 take out the number one spot for the fourth year running—it has become an icon. But Kama by Share Satisfaction is hot on its heels in second place again this year,” Relph says.
“From the top 10 we can see that Kiwis have a couple of preferred brands, including Satisfyer from the United States, and homegrown brand Share Satisfaction.” (#SUPPORTLOCAL)
