Elizabeth Arden Eternal Aura Eau de Parfum
$185

‘Modern femininity’ is how Elizabeth Arden describes this fragrance, and they couldn’t be more on the money – this is a captivating floral amber fragrance, with dragon fruit, golden pear and pink pepper at the top, mingling with delicate magnolia and peony scents, while an exclusive Elizabeth Arden co-distillate of rose and ambrette forms the heart of the scent. It’s then wrapped in warm sandalwood, creamy musk, and a hint of tonka bean for a layered, sophisticated scent.

OGX ProGrowth+ Peptide Scalp Serum
$30

The OGX ProGrowth + Peptide range is a complete scalp‑to‑strand system designed to support thicker, stronger‑looking hair for those experiencing thinning or breakage, and this lightweight scalp serum reinforces your roots to help strengthen your hair’s growth. It’s non-greasy and light (essential for us fine-haired gals) and blends peptides, caffeine, micro‑algae, niacinamide, feverfew, vitamin B5 and mango extract for an effective hair health hit.

Isabel Estate Brut Cuvée Méthode Traditionnelle
$49.95

It’s October, so that means the festive season is just around the corner and it’s a great time to begin stocking up on bubbles (or hell, Sundays are good too). Isabel Estate’s méthode is a fabulous choice – elevated, special but still very easy to drink and enjoy!

Put this one on the Christmas list, stat! If you want a serious coffee machine without compromising on aesthetics, then this baby is for you – with an integrated tamper handle (way handier than you think) as well as an automatic grinder and weight-based dosing that takes the guesswork out of figuring out the perfect grind size for your beans, this coffee machine will be your new best mate in a heartbeat. It also makes amazing filter coffee and cold brew.

IKEA KUSTFYR Ghost Bowl with Lid

If you love a bit of holiday decor that doesn’t take over your whole house with clutter, this adorable ghost lolly jar is the perfect addition to your Halloween spread! I [Kelly] have one on my counter right now and it makes me smile every time I walk past!

Toy Hero and Book Hero
Nationwide

Forgot about someone’s birthday and can’t get out to grab a gift? Or stuck at home with rubbish weather and desperately need a toy or book to while away the time? Toy Hero and Book Hero are Kiwi-run businesses that offer, you guessed it, toys and books, nationwide with overnight delivery. With more than 100,000 books and 20,000 toys in stock, there’s definitely something for everyone! I [Kelly] tried out Book Hero myself – my order arrived in less than 24 hours. Obsessed.

Tmrw Longevity Drink
$172 for a month’s supply

Tmrw is a daily ‘longevity’ drink that replaces more than 20 supplements with a single scoop – which us busy gals who can never remember to take all their supps will appreciate! Its 88 science-backed ingredients, including NMN, CaAKG, spermidine, taurine, CoQ10 and a ten-strain probiotic blend, arrive at doses you’d otherwise buy as separate products, covering the biological pathways associated with ageing in one formula. One scoop a day supports cellular vitality, NAD+ production, mitochondrial function, gut health, immunity and sustained energy. Naturally flavoured with real fruit and berries (it actually tastes quite nice), Tmrw is vegan and free from gluten, artificial sweeteners, fillers and unnecessary additives.

Shark FacialPro Glow
$549.99

A professional-level facial at home in 10 minutes?! Yes, yes, a thousand times yes. Shark’s just-released facial system deeply cleanses and extracts your pores, hydrates your skin by infusing hyaluronic acid, and preps & depuffs using heat-chill technology, to deliver visibly clearer, hydrated and glowing skin after just one use. It’s designed to be used with Shark Beauty’s own dermatologist-tested Korean skincare, for maximum professional-level facial results. We’ll be doing a deeper review on this one soon – stay tuned!

Brooklyn Nest Dog Bed
$299

As a new dog mum to a Corgi who loves to sleep on the floor, this dog bed has been a lifesaver! It’s made with orthopaedic memory foam and has a cooling inner pad, perfect for the incoming hot days and nights. It also has a three-year ‘no sag’ guarantee, and the sand colour (which is more like a very pale pink) looks chic in my lounge, and helps to camouflage the tan and white fur that’s popping up everywhere!

Circa Hand Wash Refills
$46.95

If you’ve read a few of these Capsule Collections, you might remember that one of my [Kelly’s] favourite scents of all time is Circa Oceanique – it’s fresh and invigorating and always reminds me of the sea, which is exactly I want my house to smell like, especially on days where going to the beach is a no-go! I’m stoked Circa have launched refills for their hand wash and diffusers ($39.95) in this fragrance and Jasmine & Magnolia, so I can stock up and always make sure I have plenty for top-ups – each refill will give you two refills of your hand wash bottle. Circa have also launched Scented Sachets ($19.95) into their core collection in both scents too, perfect for wardrobes, drawers and gym bags.

Le Creuset Bleu Riviera Everyday Pan
$485

Oh hello fellow millennials, I see you too have been attracted here by the lure of a new Le Creuset colour! Bleu Riviera is the beloved brand’s newest hue, and aims to capture the quiet luxury of the Mediterranean coast, with the blue-green surface (definitely not teal?!) invoking sunlit waters that’s very much on-trend. I love this cast iron everyday pan – it will be joining my [Kelly’s] lineup and I cannot WAIT to make my first fancy dinner in it!

Pressed Iron-Free Crease Spray
$30

If you’re a gal who hates to iron, or you have lots of clothes that crease and you’re not a nutcase who packs their own iron on holiday (it’s weird how many hotel rooms don’t have irons these days!?) then this will be your new best friend. Pressed is New Zealand’s first locally made iron-free crease release spray, designed to make getting dressed that little bit easier. Simply spray, smooth and go – it helps to release wrinkles and freshen clothing without needing an iron, steam or fuss. It was created for busy mornings, travel, weekends away and those last-minute wardrobe emergencies.

Silly Chilly
From $14.99

I think as millennials we’ve all collectively proven that nothing will get in the way of us having our avo on toast – so if you’re looking to up your brunch game at home, this chilli crisp will do the job nicely! A small Kiwi business, Silly Chilly is seriously tasty. Our pic is the Onion and Chilli Crisp – a little sweet, a little spicy, it’s the perfect topper for your next fancy toast. They’re available online or in Auckland’s Wild Wheat stores.

Invivo x SJP Spicy Jalapeño Sauvignon Blanc
$19.99

The new Invivo X, SJP Spicy Jalapeño Sauvignon Blanc is the first New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc to bring this trending serve to market, reflecting how wine drinkers are experimenting with flavour – and proving that Kiwi winemakers are setting the pace on wine innovation. A premium Marlborough sauv that’s been naturally infused with jalapeño and chilli extracts delivers crisp tropical notes with a subtle, buildable heat. After selling out its entire 100,000-bottle pre-sale in the US, it is now available in Aotearoa just in time for spring and summer sessions!

DO

On 5 October – World Teachers Day – Warehouse Stationery and The Salvation Army are launching a nationwide appeal to help more Kiwi kids have what they need to take part, feel included and thrive at school. Most of us can remember a teacher who made a difference in our lives – someone who noticed our potential, built our confidence or simply made sure we didn’t feel left behind. Thank a Teacher turns that gratitude into meaningful change, recognising the teachers who shaped us while helping another Kiwi kid get the same chance! From October 5 to November 1, Kiwis can create a free personalised thank-you card for a teacher through the Warehouse Stationery website, and for every online card that’s created, Warehouse Stationery will donate $2 to The Salvation Army, up to $50,000. All of the funds raised will help provide school essentials to Kiwi kids and their families experiencing hardship (and you can add in a donation at the till, self-checkout or online, too).

Dermalogica Pop Up Store
Commercial Bay, Auckland

Calling all skincare obsessives – the next time you’re in Commercial Bay, complement your shopping with a pop-in to Dermalogica’s limited edition store for a treatment or to top up your favourite products. From a comprehensive skin analysis with advanced Observ technology (with the $30 redeemable on product) through to pro power feels, luminfusion and microneedling, it’s the perfect way to indulge in a little self-care. The store is open now until just before Christmas.

Sports & Rec
Auckland

Now open in Sylvia Park, Sports & Rec is Auckland’s newest sports bar with a bit of a difference – the fun doesn’t stop at the final whistle. Taking over the former Garrison’s site, Sports & Rec brings a fresh take on sporting culture to Auckland – a lively and large venue that’s made for watching the big game, sharing a tasty meal and catching up with mates and whānau.

Crucially, Sports & Rec has screens in every direction so there’s always a good view of the action, but there’s also plenty to keep things interesting between plays; hold a pinball tournament, challenge the kids to a game of foosball, grab a drink with workmates or settle in with your crew for a meal of game-day inspired food which is, we can attest, bloody delicious. A three-person commentary booth and podcast studio overlooks the action for special activations and events – it’s a sports-lover’s paradise!
