The Divorce Diaries
Capsule’s collection, The Divorce Diaries, has been a clear reader favourite since it started. Nora Ephron once wrote that “You never really know someone until you’ve divorced them” and if you’ve been through the emotional journey of a divorce, you’ll know that’s true – no matter what side of the separation you were on.
As soon as our Divorce Diaries series launched, it’s become a Capsule favourite as our readers look to get an insight into what really happens in other people’s relationships – and their break-ups! From being cheated on to being the cheater, through to the financial toll that a divorce can take.
There are the more unusual stories – the woman who was ghosted by her own husband, or the wife who’s new husband left her and then took her best friend on their honeymoon. Then there are the more common ones – of how quickly the person you loved can turn into someone you don’t recognise. We’ve also got advice on how to heal after a split and how to manage a separation when you’ve got children.
Divorce can feel like such a lonely and isolating time when you’re deciding ‘should I stay or should I go?’ but as these stories show, you’re far from alone and there is always hope on the other side. Divorces can lead to unlikely friendships, new beginnings and happily ever after stories… they just might look a little different to what you imagined.
