Want to spend your days laying by the pool in one of Bali’s most sought after resorts, but don’t want to pay a fortune? No matter where you’re staying, we have your Bali resort day pass sorted!
So you’re heading to Bali and you’ve chosen a villa or older-style resort without all the bells and whistles of a resort, so now what? Believe it or not, many of the five-star resorts you’ve dreamed of staying at aren’t out of reach for non-guests. All you have to do is flash a little bit of cash for a day pass and you can enjoy the facilities (yes, even the kids’ clubs) all day long.
This is by no means an exhaustive list of resorts which offer day passes in Bali, but will give you and idea of what’s on offer in some of our favourite spots:
Club Med Bali, Nusa Dua
Whether you’re up for a day pass (10am to 6pm), evening pass (6pm to 12am) or a full-day pass (10am to 12am), you’ve got access to just about every activity you could imagine in this sprawling beachside resort.
You can enjoy a wide range of sports (everything from archery and trapeze to water sports), international buffet lunch and dinner, the evening shows, Club Med party, kids’ club, unlimited drinks – both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, and all the unusual resort facilities (pools, gym, etc.).
Day passes start from around $97 per adult.
Bali Mandira Beach Resort and Spa, Legian
Surrounded by lush gardens and located right by Legian Beach, Bali Mandira Beach Resort and Spa is the perfect place to unwind for those clutching a pool day pass. Offered mid-week only (from around $53 per adult), the pass includes a day of leisure in their pools – including the kids’ pool with slides and water fountains, IDR 300,000 ($31) food and beverage credit per adult and towels. Cabanas can be reserved based on availability and a minimum $53 spend per cabana.
Melia Bali, Nusa Dua
One of Nusa Dua’s most exclusive properties awaits with the Melia Bali Pool Pass, giving you access to the property from 8am to 6pm. Although you can enjoy the resort’s pool (or enjoy a drink in a swinging hammock), it’s worth noting that activities such as canoeing and bicycle riding will be at extra charge.
Priced from $155 per person. (Pictured in main image)
Movenpick Resort and Spa Jimbaran Bali, Jimbaran
A top choice for young families (the resort has an excellent kids’ pool area), Movenpick Resort and Spa Jimbaran has traditionally been a popular spot for those with a day pass and why not? Free for kids 0 to 6 (and around $48 per adult), the pass includes use of the pool, a $30 food and beverage credit per adult and Wi-Fi.
Unfortunately, while the resort is noted for its kids’ club, this is only for the use of house guests only.
Reef Beach Club, Nusa Dua
Spending a day at an exclusive beachfront property with full access to a 42-metre family friendly infinity pool and a wide range of watersports activities for no fee at all? Yep, Reef Beach Club must offer the best ‘day pass’ in Bali, allowing guests to enjoy their facilities all day long.
Food and beverages aren’t included so you’ll have to purchase these on-site but it’s little more than peanuts considering the evening bonfires, and live music entertainment you’ll have as you dine.
Hard Rock Hotel Bali, Kuta
Featuring the largest free-form swimming pool in Bali, a kids’ water park and a chill-out pool, Hard Rock Hotel Bali, Kuta, is another family favourite located centrally in Kuta. It’s not all about the pools; the pass also includes approximately $22 in food and beverage credits and kids can access the kids’ club free for the first hour and then around $11 per hour after that.
Many other day passes for some of Bali’s top resorts (such as Four Seasons Resort Bali and The Stones Hotel Bali) can be booked through Klook.
