Not only do Golden Globes winners take home a statue (and bragging rights for the year), but they also take home a goodie bag worth more than $850,000. And this year, that included a stay at luxury resort in NZ…

Yip, the winners of the Golden Globes are taking home more than just a gold statue. Every winner and presenter at this year’s Globes was given a gift bag stuffed with more than $850,000 worth of goodies.

Included in the bag is over 35 luxury products, including private jet credits and a session with a celebrity tattoo artist.

Three of the lucky star-studded winners received a coveted stay at Flockhill Lodge, just an hour and a half from Christchurch, New Zealand.

Flockhill is nestled under the Southern Alps on a 36,000-acre working sheep station, surrounded by dramatic views of Lake Person, Sugarloaf, Purple Hill and beyond.

With facilities including a wine cellar, farmhouse kitchen, pool and spa, services such as private chefs, and activities ranging from bouldering to heli-tours, it’s a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Flockhill has a series of sustainability initiatives in place to ensure staff and guests protect the beautiful environment that surrounds the property.

The estate sits in an elevated position in the centre of a valley, with unique flora and fauna that don’t exist in parts of New Zealand closer to sea level.

Visitors enjoy dining options tailored to their needs and preferences, with a personal chef and attendant on hand, and all meals included.

Bespoke itineraries can also be crafted for visitors to accommodate personal preferences, including exclusive off-site seasonal activities like heli-skiing, golf, hunting and wine tours.

Currently, Flockhill is one homestead with four bedrooms, each of which has an ensuite with bathtub.

Nightly rates range from $8,500 to $21,000, depending on the time of year.

Fifteen new villas are opening at Flockhill in December 2024, which is where the Golden Globes winners are invited to visit.

The hotel’s highly anticipated new restaurant Sugarloaf, will also open later this year, with local produce grown on-site.

Though it is just an hour and 20 minute’s drive from Christchurch, guests are encouraged to arrive by train, to take in the beauty of New Zealand’s landscapes.

You’ll be picked up at the closest train station and driven on a 30-minute scenic journey to Flockhill.
