There’s a Gin Event Going On in Queenstown Right Now and If You’re There, GET THERE

What do you get when you cross gin, Queenstown and Baz Lurhmann? A bloody vibe, that’s what – but also an amazing experience in one of the most beautiful spots of New Zealand.

Bombay Sapphire’s Saw This, Made This campaign is a unique visual experience that sets out to reframe the way we view Aotearoa.

The innovative exhibition will see seven partner venues in Queenstown showcase a bespoke cocktail menu, their creations inspired by Bombay and an exclusive photography collection that’s connected by three themes: Nature, Blue, and People.

Stunning photos have been used as inspiration to create incredible cocktails, AND, the campaign is being creatively led by world-renowned director of films such as Romeo and Juliet Baz Luhrmann.

He says, “I truly believe that everyone is inherently creative, no matter who you are, where you come from or what you do. You don’t have to be labeled an artist to be considered a creative. If you just give yourself permission to see the world as a gallery of inspiration and reframe how you think about things, you’ll unlock a part of yourself you didn’t know existed. I want to encourage people everywhere to think about how they can turn the ordinary into the extraordinary and share this inspiration to make the world a more creatively nurturing place.”

Venues include Yonder, Surreal Bar & Restaurant, Jervois Steak House, Little Blackwood, Pig & Whistle Pub, Pog Mahones Irish Pub & Restaurant, and Reds Bar.

Locals and visitors to Queenstown are encouraged to pop into one of the venues to try the bespoke range of Bombay Sapphire cocktails – From a gin margarita (trust me, it’s a vibe!) to a crystal clear gin martini, or a bramble sour and a citrus infused gin concoction, visitors and locals will be spoiled for choice this October!

The bespoke cocktail menus will be available from participating locations from Thursday October 19th – Sunday October 30th. Trust us – head along to some of the venues and try for yourself!
