An Autumn Affair with Andiamo

if you find yourself in Auckland over the next few months, might we reccomend popping into one of our favourite neighbourhood eateries? As we lead into the Autumn months, much-loved Auckland local eatery Andiamo is offering a special set lunch, designed to pair perfectly with the acclaimed 2023 Vavasour Sauvignon Blanc.

For $40 p/p diners can enjoy two elegant courses, created by executive chef Gavin Doyle complemented by a glass of zesty Vavasour Sauvignon Blanc from Marlborough’s Awatere Valley. There are additional Vavasour wine matching available to complement the flavours of each dish. Peeeeerfection!

Mr Sanders by KFC

Prominent Kiwi chef Hercules Noble has delighted fans by launching his very first restaurant on Ponsonby Road called Mr. Sandersbut all is not as it seems. The bougie new restaurant offers a five-course set menu in a sophisticated dining environment, elevating the iconic taste of KFC to the realm of chic dining – to the shock of the well-heeled Ponsonby restaurant elite (AMAZING).

Fuelled by the global resurgence of late-night dinner clubs, Mr. Sanders is nestled inconspicuously on Auckland’s Ponsonby Road, amongst some of New Zealand’s most revered restaurants. It’ll open to the public for three nights only, Wednesday 20th, Thursday 21st and Friday 22nd March, offering a one-of-a-kind experience that promises to set off a wave of finger lickin’ delight.

Hercules has designed an enticing menu that reimagines KFC’s iconic Hot & Crispy Boneless, accompanied by other beloved cult classics. The 5-course *chefs kiss* menu will feature mouth-watering dishes, and the option to add a wine match. Wine AND fancy KFC? See you there!

BUY

Holski Collagen
RRP from $86

It’s about this time of the year when your well-meaning NY resolutions have completely fallen by the wayside (guilty) but looking after your skin is a LOT easier than getting to the gym every day, especially if you have a regime that targets both the inside and the outside. Take the best care possible of your skin this year, which you can do with Holski’s combination of both ingestible and topical collagen to manage the impact of summer’s UV exposure.

Up the Wahs! Warriors 2024 Heritage Jersey
$160

A nostalgic tribute to the club’s founding year in 1995, the Warriors 2024 Heritage Jersey mirrors the iconic design of the club’s inaugural Away Jersey, even omitting sponsor One NZ’s logo from the front to replicate the original. In an era dominated by corporate logos in sports, this logo-free jersey represents a forward-thinking approach that prioritises the connection between fans, the team, and the sponsor – and damnnnnnnnn it looks chic. A perfect jersey for our year. Sorry, couldn’t help myself.

SOPHIE Matisse Collection
From $28

To coincide with an exhibition of modern art The Robertson Gift: Paths through Modernity, featuring works from Matisse among others, lifestyle brand SOPHIE presents a capsule accessories collection created in collaboration with Auckland Art Gallery Toi o Tāmaki.

Henri Matisse was often referred to as the ‘painter of happiness’ for his use of vibrant colour, an ethos that aligns with SOPHIE who designs joyful collections of jewellery, clothing and accessories. The new capsule collection features five stunning different jewellery pieces, a keychain, and four pins.

The Matisse Rose studs, sleepers, ring, necklace and keychain, pay homage to Matisse’s ‘Four Rosettes’ work. He produced these in 1949–50 when he began working almost exclusively with cut pieces of painted paper while designing the stained-glass windows and interior of the Chapelle de Rosaire in the French Riviera town of Venice. As a HUGE Matisse fan myself ( I have no less than three prints in my house) this collection has me super-excited!

icebreaker AW collection

icebreaker’s AW24 collection features improved pieces following on from last year’s innovative collection, with hero garments in earthy colourways which are perfect for the transitional season and outdoor adventures. These include the signature, versatile Merino 150 Tech Lite III SS Tees, ZoneKnit Merino Short Sleeve T-shirts and the Merino 200 Realfleece Descender LS Half Zip, which are all breathable, odour-resistant and temperature regulating. The collection also introduces icebreaker’s first-ever seamless range for women, showcasing merino wool fibres and plant based alternatives for nylon and elastane. We love to be warm and comfy!

Layla Kaisi Outré Necklace
$3981

Oh hello, welcome to bougie corner! If you have a special milestone coming up or hell, you can treat yourself to a fancy diamond necklace, here’s the pick for you from lovely Kiwi designer Layla Kaisi. She’s a young Kiwi trailblazer in the world of fine jewellery, and has just announced her latest high jewellery edit, OUTRÉ. The five-piece collection, which features three rings (two double-finger), this necklace and earrings, is crafted in solid 18-carat white gold and set with hundreds of brilliant-cut white diamonds.

Sweetest Fairy Jar Cakes and Cookies
From $18.99

The cutest little idea for celebrating anything from International Women’s Day, through to the small wins of everyday, Sweetest Fairy is a small Kiwi business based in Nelson, and delivers treats across the country to celebrate pretty much any occasion – or just to enjoy some of the best baking you’ll ever eat (trust me, I’ve devoured a lot!).

Lego Formula 1 McLaren 2023 Car
$39.99

The 2024 F1 season has officially kicked off over the weekend (Drive to Survive has a LOT to answer for with the sport’s millions of new fans, including me!) and to celebrate, The LEGO Group has unveiled its brand new F1 lineup. Icons of the track, McLaren and Mercedes have been brought to life in spectacular brick form, including a Mercedes-AMG F1 W14 E Performance and the 2023 McLaren Formula 1 Race Car.

Whether you’re a seasoned fan of the F1 circuit, or a budding engineer with your sights set on the pit stop, the new LEGO McLaren range is raring to captivate the minds of rev heads – both young and old. I did suggest giving this to our three-year-old nephew but my fiance firmly nixed that, so I guess they’re right!

Timmy Smith Goals Realised Bangle
$165

The Goals Realised bangle is sterling silver and was created to recognise the importance of celebrating the completion of goals, especially when they have required significant time and energy – and by that, we mean any goal!

Timmy Smith is a proud Māori wahine and the founder of the beautiful company, who has been evoking memories since 1972. On the face of it, Timmy Smith produces organic teas, sparkling tea, curated tea ware and handcrafted jewellery that intrinsically links to te ao Māori. A Timmy Smith piece of bespoke jewellery is a taonga/treasure. Regardless of what piece you may have, it will evoke memories – acting as a reminder of someone special, the precious balance of Papatūānuku, the wonder of Matariki, your connection to a place, a person or a fundamental principle worth honouring.

Farrah’s Low Carb Sweet Chilli Wraps
$5.50

Farrah wraps are always a staple in my fridge – we use them for pizzas, for chips and yes, occasionally actual wraps – so I’m jazzed for these sweet chilli additions to the line up, and they’re low carb and 90 cals per wrap, if you’re on a health buzz.

Capital Kitchen Element Cast Iron Casserole, White, 24cm, 4L
$139.99

We love a gorgeous core kitchen accessory that deserves to be on display as much as you’ll actually use it, so this cast iron casserole dish form Stevens is the perfect choice. It’s wallet-friendly and the iconic cream white-cream will never date.

COS A/W24 Collection

We at Capsule adore COS- the pieces are stunning, the price point is, well, on point, and the cost-per-wear is most definitely girl-math approved. Their newest collection is chic, well-thought-out and promises to live in your wardrobe for years.
